I recently had dinner at Genki Sushi in Kona, it was wonderful. Spicy tuna roll, Agadashi tofu, chicken karaaga, ahi, kappa maki roll, tamago, squid combo - wow, all delicious. Everything fresh and nicely done.
The staff is warm and welcoming. The restaurant is cozy and inviting. I highly recommend. -

Got my wish and the department of health shut them down! Dont waste your money here. Renton, Washington has a location and their service is 200% better than this location.
It's like the employees are unhappy to even work there. YOU BEEN WARNED. DONT GO THERE! -

Food was really cold! Waited for our own waitress about 10 minutes and the place wasn't busy! Another waiter had to come to us for our bill.

Horrible food. Don't waste your time or money. Has to be one of the single most disappointing places I have eaten. 1) the unagi was slimy slabs of cooled fat (or tasted that way). 2) how you can mess up tuna in Hawaii? They managed. 3) the miso soup tasted like warm water with a couple of brown, what I think were scallions thrown in 4) the place was packed but the quality and apparent age of the food on the carousel was revolting.
Don't say I did not warn you. I am now praying I make it through the next 48-hours without dysentery. -

We were in here midday and it was empty. There was nothing on the belts so we ordered. The service was terrible even though there were only a couple of us in the restaurant. Our orders came wrong a few times until we finally just cancelled it. They should upgrade like the other Genkis in the state and get the iPads. That'll help the issue with the horrible service. Even the sushi itself wasn't the best. The rice in the sushi was falling apart very easily. I would not recommend this place. The good thing is there's a Dairy Queen next door!
